We explored our local area as part of our 'Where I Live' topic. We are able to name shops, buildings, local attractions and landmarks. Using 'Google Maps' we were able to find where we live and we thought about what it is like to live in the city compared to living in the country. In our classroom we had a 'Post Office' role play area where we wrote letters and postcards which were 'delivered' by the postal workers. It was very busy. We completed our topic by writing a letter and posting it in the postbox on the Shankill Road, just outside our classroom. While we were on our walk we compiled data on the types of shops and buildings located on the Shankill Road and collated our findings by creating a bar chart using Just 2 Easy. 

We all really enjoyed our walk, particularly the cake we purchased from Beth's Bakery!
