P7Ritchie had a great start to money week by being Fraud Scene Investigators. This workshop was facilitated by Gillian Candless from Ulster Bank. The children learnt what fraud and identity theft looks like and measures to prevent it.
The P7 children took part in a Victorian Dress Up day and got the opportunity to explore what life was like for children in school during the Victorian time. They took part in a drill, completed some observational drawings and were treated to inspections by their teachers!

The whole school was treated to a visit by Amazing Journey. Children got the opportunity to watch Bible characters, like Moses, come to life. They even got the opportunity to try on some costumes and taste some Bible-time food.
25th - 29th September is 'Cycle to School Week'.
Our first walking bus of the year is on Friday 22nd September. Click on the flyer for more information. See you there!
P3 Penton and P5 Heaney had the opportunity to attend the DU Dance Festival held in Belvoir Players Theatre. They prepared and performed a dance based on their World Around Us Topics. P5 Heaney danced to "Walk like an Egyptian" inspired by their recent study of Ancient Egypt.
We are so proud of our Senior Choir, who were awarded 2nd place in the Primary Schools' Choir of the year competition on Wednesday 17th May at Belfast Cathedral. An excellent achievement and a great reward for all their hard work.
Today Glenwood hosted the Equipping for Life team who led the Inspire programme. Our children had the opportunity to meet and listen to people who carry out various jobs in our community in the hope of inspiring the children to unlock their enormous potential and help shape their future working lives.
There have been lots of fun Coronation activities taking place in Glenwood this week. The children have enjoyed making lots of arts and crafts, engaging in Royal play activities, dressing up as Kings and Queens and learning all about King Charles III. We even had a Royal banquet lunch today! Congratulations to our colouring competition winners and dress up winners.
